Vision Care Kandy Branch, celebrating its 7th Branch Anniversary offered lunch to the in-house patients and donated dry rations useful for their daily requirements as the Cancer Home Kandy is sustained entirely by donations and gifts from the community.
Cancer Home Kandy of Sri Lanka Cancer Society is facilitating about 100 patients at one particular time, having 5 wards – 2 for males, 2 for females and 1 for children. The Patients come from various parts of the island to the Kandy General Hospital for treatment and those who are on long stay treatment and unable to travel from distant places are accommodated at the Home. Entire patient care, including meals, medicines and day to day requirements are accorded free of charge.
