Nethralokana Sathkara is committed to support needy children and bring happiness to their lives.
Celebrating the Company’s Founder’s Day, Vision Care supports Sri Jayawardenapura Vajira Sri Children’s Development Center from its beginning – February, 1993. On February 04th, 2013, for the 10th consecutive time, a group of employees from Vision Care visit to orphanage in Pitakotte to donate lunch and spend time with the children there.
Further, valuable donations of food items, provisions, and non- items were donated to the orphanage as per the request made by their management.
The orphans are here as the result of many types of tragic situations, such as war, shattered families, unwanted pregnancies and the Tsunami. They come here from all over the country. They are initially brought here via the Government body of social welfare. At present, there are nearly 150 destitute children of both sexes who have been sent here for rehabilitation by the Department of Probation.
