As a part of Company’s social corporate responsibility programs, Nethralokana Sathakara substantiated as the main “Hearing Care Provider” for The Centre for Education of Hearing Impaired Children (CEHIC). The project commenced from September, 2017, providing necessary funds continuously on monthly basis.
The Centre for Education of Hearing Impaired Children (CEHIC), located in Dalugama, Kelaniya is an education, training and habilitation institution for children with hearing impairment which offers all its services free of charge. Founded in 1982 by its present Directress Sister Greta Nalawatta PH, about 650 children have passed through its portals and entered Sri Lanka society as valuable contributing citizens, and to date CEHIC has produced 8 university graduates with a further 6 currently as under-graduates (in 2019).
