Human well-being is linked to the natural environment in countless ways. We, at Nethralokana Sathkara believe that spending quality time in nature can positively impact and improve a person’s mental well-being and physical health.
The Ward 09 of Teaching Hospital – Peradeniya, Kandy is a temporary home for about thirty psychologically disordered male patients. Having an intention of making their short stay a pleasant one, Nethralokana Sathkara volunteered to create an attractive leisure area for those needy.
The project funded to excavate the ground for about 1½’, refill soil/coir, lay down 5500sqft of grass, plant over 100 trees/bushes, and creating a new walking path around perimeter of the park is to be completed.
