Many parts of the country were facing the worst floods ever with many casualties and thousands of people became homeless.\u00a0<\/p>

Nethralokana Sathkaara together with the contributions from Vision Care staff, provided immediate relief aid to affected communities around Ambatale, Wellampitiya area. The staff worked tirelessly to dispatch relief aid such as bottled drinking water, cooked food, dry rations and medical items to that affected area.\u00a0 The volunteers from Vision Care Staff on ground faced various challenges like continuous rains, broken transportation and supply issues, but they were able to reach more than 250 needy within a day.\u00a0 Further, the team distributed necessary clothing includes t-shirts, shirts, skirts and undergarments for ladies and warm clothing for children. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

All victims of the 172 households impacted by the Easter Sunday Terrorists\u2019 attack received eye & hearing screening assistance at Katuwapitiya Community Centre in Negombo on Saturday, May 17, 2019. This medical camp was organized by Dialog Axiata PLC with NETHRALOKANA SATHKARA by Vision Care. After completing a successful screening program, about 55 spectacles were delivered to the needy. Further, being there and acting in a kind, caring way towards them was an important psychological support to them after a traumatic event.
