New Born Hearing Unit

“Loss of hearing affects one’s ability to communicate with the world. Most importantly, how it affects differs from one person to another. Providing personalized hearing solutions is one aspect that was overlooked in Sri Lanka for many years. Therefore, NETHRALOKANA SATHKARA strives to change this and change lives for the better.

As per the request by Dr. Selvarathnam (Consultant ENT Head & Neck Surgeon) Vision Care Hearing Solutions has contentedly donated a “Newborn Hearing Screening Unit” to Teaching Hospital Kandy.  This project was funded by NETHRALOKANA SATHKARA.  Through this unit all the new born babies will be tested for their hearing ability, without any hassle.

The inauguration was successfully held at the Teaching Hospital Premises on 12th June 2019 with participants of the hospital; Dr. Selvarathnam, Dr. Ethulgama, Dr. Naranpanawa, Dr. Rathnayaka (Hospital Director), Mr. Nalin Hearth, Ms. Inoka Ganarathna, Ms. Chandani Dombagolla, Mr. Ananda Bandara and Mr. Peter Ranasinghe.
