Free eye examinations and spectacle distribution to Kalkudah’s Vammivaddavan Vidyalayam

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the lives of communities across Sri Lanka, Vision Care Optical Services Pvt Ltd is proud to have successfully conducted a free eye examination camp on August 2nd, 2024, at BT/KK/Vammivaddavan Vidyalayam in Kalkudah, Batticaloa. This initiative, carried out under the “Nethralokana Sathkara” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, focuses on providing much needed eye care services to visually impaired students. Every pair of spectacles our customers purchase helps light up a child’s future together, we’re not just improving vision, we’re changing lives.

At Vision Care Optical Services, we recognize that good vision is critical to the educational development and overall future of children. Many young students face undiagnosed vision problems, which can hinder their learning and limit their potential. That’s why we have made it our mission to ensure that every child has access to quality eye care and the opportunity to achieve their full potential through improved vision.

Our dedicated team of optometrists and support staff, using state-of-the-art equipment, conducted comprehensive eye examinations for over 400 students during the event. Those diagnosed with vision issues were provided with spectacles completely free of charge later. This initiative aligns with our belief that no child should be deprived of the chance to excel academically due to unaddressed vision problems.

The project was designed not only to correct vision but to enhance the overall well-being of students in the Kalkudah region. Vision Care aims to empower the younger generation to pursue their educational goals without hindrance by providing free spectacles to children in need.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of the students was of utmost importance. All necessary health protocols and safety precautions were strictly followed throughout the event to create a safe environment for both students and staff.

Through this initiative, Vision Care Optical Services Pvt Ltd remains dedicated to uplifting communities and encouraging the success of future generations by making eye care accessible and affordable.
